Is there a non-marine and commercially available seat and lid that will fit my Groco HF or do I need to order it from Groco?

I just got off the phone with Groco....they use the same seat for their compact HF toilet that Raritan, Jabsco and Wilcox use for their compact manual toilets. So just shop for the best price for a "compact" seat...eBay might be a good bet. Or...if you're resourceful, you might even be able to find a replacement for free at a boatyard on a manual toilet they've pulled out of a boat to replace with an all-china "throne."

That was indeed the very one, a perfect match except for the plastic bolts being black instead of nylon colored. They are not visible so I can live with that little discrepancy:)

It came 4 days later for 20 bucks. Upgrading something in a boat is always a thrill but I don't think I've ever gotten so much bang for the buck. That grotty, cracked, mildewed, stained seat told every woman who ever came aboard that she had entered a strange and hostile world where finding the seat up would be the least of her worries. Even when not in the head, if the door is open, a bright and pure light seems to pour out the door and make the whole cabin seem cleaner, newer, and fill the world with the promise of wonderful possibilities.

I should have done this long ago.

Hmmm.... wonder what they thought when I just handed them the bucket and said "close the curtain if you want"..... No wonder I'm single.

Wonderful, Roger

What lyrical prose! Like the nightingale, it rises from its earthly seat to sing of beauty, gratitude, praise and hope. Good gravy, there is literature everywhere.

Uhhhh.. Great.. I didn't notice that it was that bad, Roger!.. I was dazzled by the great work of the water tank and cabin heater!! Had the same (deep seated?) problem on my old Mansfield and was suprized to find that they are standard sized..
