Tomorrow in between the hamburgers and hopefully great sailing, pause for a moment and say a prayer for all of our fallen heroes that made the day possible. The wind is free but freedom is not, as they paid the ultimate price.

Freedom was won by those who lived. Those who died are best remembered as having helped to keep their comrades alive. Often those that died took positions that were not safe but were much needed to turn the fight.

That makes no sense at all...spoken like a person who's never been in combat and knows not of what he speaks.

Then explain why my brother volunteered to man a machine gun position on a hill in Korea and took a mortar round that would have killed one of his buddies had he not volunteered.

IMHO your brother is a Hero...we need to remember those who did these things for our freedoms to prosper..
