are you happy to be back home? everything all secure? will you be donating some furballs to help sop up the gulf oil spill?

what? nobody talks to their cats out there? at home if i forget to close my sock drawer we have two cats that love to get in and dissappear. most times i find them in opposite ends. i can imagine on a boat, if someone left a locker open... have you ever got to explore the dark regions? was it fun or did you get in trouble? there's got to be some humor in here somewhere. jimbob

bubba daboatkat sends a message-he didnt know about this before now--has been asleep getting over jet lag

sorry folks--i have been shadowing momms everywhere--i love my boat and i am glad to be back where the smells and sounds are more familiar--i miss phillip--i have been looking for him but i cant find him anywhere!! is nice to not be moving a lot....and my litter box is dry and under a tent....i like looking out from under the tent and watching folks row by....this boat is bigger than the one we were travelling on...i like it....

folks can have my furz for oil spill collection if they want to...it goes into the air anyway....

is sooopuuurrrty--i hope so too---was nice there....but my boat is fine too--i sleep now...puuurrr.

i think he was more scared than he let on--he is such a good boy--puts up with momms's running around to go sailing--now is time to fix this boat and leave with it to southern waters--so he is home for a long time---he likes this boat...big n roomy..

was quite an adventure!!!!!

i hope it dont get tooo horrid there--is such a gorgeous place....i am so glad i got to sail there and see most of it...

bubba.. arn't you worried about quarantine? southern waters from your position would put you in a foreign country.

he is alll goood --just before i go i take him to vet and then within 10 days of the last visit we leave--papers in hand........
noonsite has a good write up and good info on what pets need when entering/leaving certain countries......and he never leaves the boat ever.....we have no interest in the bahamas, fiji, or any place that charges bounty on critters that never leave boat......and we have our vet certificates....

thats good news. i was under the impression that pets were kept on land. no telling what they would squirt out if they had to eat and drink in a mexican kennel. if bubba got sick or injured what would you do? or be required to do in foreign waters. jimbob

bubby getting sick or injured is a thought that is always there--not always until the adventure has completed lol..... i would have to broadcast for a vet....either on land or at sea--and if i had to stitch him up----yipes--he may not like that---i figure the boat is just his home---he does well and so far has been ok--he did have illness from bad foods when he was a baby--the melamine scare was then and his foods were tainted.....he is good--he doesnt get into too much weird stuff--i make sure things like metal filings and dangers from working on engines is not around for his paws to pick up and then go into his innards---i am very careful with that for him....he is goood at not eating stuff that isnt food...and he doesnt eat people foods so i am not worried about him getting into much of that--i bone his fishies...so he doesnt get problems from fishbones----he is on his own with burdeez..lol..naaaw--he isnt spoiled

friend says there are vets in mexico--there are in the virgin islands -isnt much chance of me going so far from someplace i couldnt get help for him----except into the sea on a passage----when he gets closer to old or infirm, i will have to get a supply of what i need for him and then go---most things i can do for him--been rn forever..lol.....just some stuff isnt good for kitties, so cant give those--by keeping him in the boat all the time, his environment is kinda controlled---he isnt in contact with other critters--except if he catches a bird....so is kind alike in a regular house but have to go over water to get there.....

i do have a health certificate for him so he should be ok for regular treatment by a vet--but , since he doesnt leave boat at all , what he may need is right there with us...for the most part---he has been so healthy i havent had to worry about him much......
