What model Oday am I looking at?

I am new to sailing and new to this site but I am looking at a Oday sailboat and would like to know where a model number or data plate might be located. It is about 20-22 feet long on a single axel trailer. Has a 10hp merc. outboard. It is a fixer upper and I am trying to decide if it might be something I might want to tackle. I will try to post some pictures soon if that would help someone help me with identifacation.

at the stearn just under the rub rail you may find the serial numbers stamped into the fiberglass. hard to stay what you have without pictures and exact measurements.

Often the number is painted on the fiberglass under the cockpit. Like LordNelson said, it should be stamped on the back but it can get filled in with paint.

Write the serial number down and post it here. I'll tell you what the model and the year is. I have an O'Day format sheet that gives all that info. I can't post it on this site because it's a pdf and it's too large for this site.

Thanks to all who have responded .The boat that I was looking at is in the process of being sold to someone else. I will just keep looking.

Divide and conquer. Divide into enought parts so software will handle it. Or send directly to Captain Herring and let him post it as system adiminstrator.
