capt. jeff,our good and might add very civic minded slip neighbor called today. " your boat is floating fine." i replied "i hope in her slip!" "yes everything looks good." we've had quite q few storms thru the midsouth this weekend. only an onboard inspection will tell if lightning hit anywhere close. does anyone out there have marina cams? can see their boats? jb

Good neighbors do mean a lot - and especially for one's peace of mind. I'm 100 miles from my boat much of the time, and my slip neighbor Ron keeps a watch for me, and is a good friend as well - a deal hard to find!
No marina camera....but I've been thinking about putting one on the boat.
We too have excellent neighbors. Liveaboards. In the last few years I've had two calls from them.
The first was "your boat is beeping". Drove to the boat to find a smoke alarm that was on it's way out.
The second was after a nasty storm, "Your boat is listing to starboard more than normal" was the call. Big Dummy (me) had left a quite heavy tool box on the settee, adding to the normal H34 list.
Cameras are cool, but you can't beat good neighbors.

Yes, in fact we do have an internet remotely operated live video camera at our marina BHSYM Boston, MA. It's a great benefit all year round you can take control to pan and zoom the marina, land storage, travel lift, etc. and the harbor.
