I like Super Ship Bottom Ablative bottom paint. It will stick to bare Fiberglass and any bottom paint, it has a higher copper content, it doesn't need primer, and you only need to apply one coat. It's cheaper than most premium bottom paints. Call first because they only make one color at a time. Use your credit card and have it shipped UPS and it will arrive faster than mine did. UPS charges an extra $20 for the hazardous waste charge, but you'll get it quicker than regular postal service. I just received my paint today. I ordered it back in Feb 25 and I paid by personal check and was going to have it shipped snail mail post office. I told them last week to ship it UPS and they did. I painted my keel, centerboard, and my rudder this afternoon. The hull is next to be painted and I can load her back on my trailer. Good Luck!

Joe did you remind the lady who took your order, who happens to be the wife of the paint mixer, also chief bookkeeper and phone answerer to ship the can in the box upright?

Ahoy there, Ed!
No I didn't but I noticed that the box had arrows pointing up, and when I opened the box, the paint was packed good with shredded paper and Styrofoam pellets. The important thing was, the plastic can didn't leak. When Wayne opened his up, there was wet paint on the lid. Marion was very nice to me on the phone. Tomorrow I'm going to set the boat's keel on blocks at the same height and mask off the waterline. Then Saturday I'm going to paint the whole bottom. If the weather is good on Monday, I'll put her on the trailer. I've got the next two weeks to get her all put back together after that.
Our club mooring balls have been set, and the docks are going in on Saturday, May 1st. I can't wait to start chasing those Stripers!
Ahoy!
Joe
