O'day 25 interior question!

Good day fellow O'day 25 owners,

I am on the verge of ordering upholstery for my interior cushions in my sailboat. In calculating I omitted to take the measurements of the 2 backrest's inside the boat. Does anyone have by any chance the exact measurements of both of them (length-width-thickness) ? Unfortunately I cannot get to my sailboat has it is buried underneath the snow. I have attached a picture of the starboard side backrest (found on the net) to show you what I mean.

If anyone has this info, it would be greatly appreciated.

I am in the process of redoing my O28 interior. The measurment for my backrests are 12w X 73L X3 thick. Yours may not be quite as long but that should get you in the ballpark for yardage. What kind of material are you using?? We are using Sunbrella indoor/outdoor material for mold and mildew resistance plus stain resistance. Good luck! max

I appreciate your reply, yes I will use your measurements as they will be similar (maybe a bit smaller) but it will certainly do the trick.

As well I will be using most probably Sunbrella int/ext for mold.

I also am redoing a 28 interior my cushions curve at the end and go onto the bulkhead at the head.

Years ago I bought some fabric to redo my interior cushions from a marine fabric business in the Warren RI industrial park. The material that I bought was very close to the same pattern and color as the original O'Day cushions. It hasn't stood up at all. Looking back now, I wish that I had bought Sumbrella instead. A friend of mine has been buying it through SailRite.

Wish I could help but I am visiting my son and his Family in N.J. I must say I do not like all this white stuff. And like a true southerner had to get my dumb ass pulled out of the snow bank on highway I66 between harrisonberg VA and frontroyal. Bring on the Spring!
