Have any of you had a good experience with Discount Marine Supply.com? About a week ago I ordered a few thru hulls from them. They have charged my credit card but have not processed the order. I'm just trying to figure out if it's time to dispute the credit card charges.

I just went through this with an LED company. They said they had sold out at the Annapolis boat show and they didn't even have any in stock when they charged my card. My VISA credit card said I had to wait 30 days from the day of the order. Of ourse, yours may be tifferent. The LEDs came 2 days before the 30 days passed.
on the other side of the coin....i ordered a phhbII manual head on monday from boatersland @ 10:30PM ,paid for it expecting it to be here next week......low an behold it was herethursday morning about 10AM ....i had it shipped ups ground being the cheapest way...it came from Pa...to Ga ....go figure lol
I have had the same sort of experience with Boatersland. In my opinion they are a good online vendor. Unfortunately they and Defender did not carry the exact parts that I needed.
I have used marinediscountsupplies before. I ordered through hulls and some other stuff. I tried to change my order right after I ordered it. They didn't return my emails until a few days later, after they shipped my order. You can't call and talk to anyone because they don't accept calls. They have cheap prices and their shipping cost is awsome beging the USPS flat rate boxes. Everyone should ship like that. I would order alot more small stuff if everything was shipped in flate rate boxes. I think they will ship your stuff, but don't expect ANY communication in the mean time.
No problem. Always call ahead to make sure the have the parts IN STOCK & IN HAND. If you cant talk to a real person, Don't buy ! Alot of companies love to get your money and put on the back-ordered list even though the parts show in-stock on the web site.
Parts Arrived Today
The parts, as ordered, arrived today. They shipped by the US Mail to hold down shipping costs. Cost of parts and shipping was very reasonable. Their website order status and shipping communication is weak compared to other online marine part vendors. They also did answer today an email I sent them yesterday requesting a status update on the order. My concern was not necessary.
