Fans of the Manson Anchors- and you know who you are! A new design that is made with racers in mind. Not sure why it is, but maybe something about the handicap system if you drag it behind you

Made for boats 12 to 45 feet, you should be able to find it at West and other marine stores. Oh yeah... The flukes are dead ringers of a Danforth. In fact, the whole anchor looks like a Danforth except for the blue paint and balls.

They are pretty similar anchors. I wonder what the patent story behind that is.

I have heard of races being won under certain conditions by using an anchor to loose less ground than the oponents. I guess the ability to quickly set under varied bottom conditions may desired characteristics. Perhaps pushing the marketing envelope.

You're supposed to raise the anchor when you are racing?! Well, no wonder those other guys are always so fast!
