Oday O'Day 22 Bangor
Hi my name is Chris and I'm new to this community. I am very happy to have found it. I purchased a 1974 O'day 22 this past summer and have undertaken a total overhaul. I found a link to a copy of the running rigging specs., but it is very unlegible. Would anyone have a better copy or know of where to get one. I have the standing rigging all done and now need to get the running rigging together. Thank-you for any help.

Chris wants a better copy of running rigging specs. Most of us would not only like a better copy but a more inclusive copy. Unfortunately, the company ceased to exist.

As an abitious sailor we all nominate you, CJR, to update and write a new copy to include all models.

Do you happen to live near Cape Cod? Or one of the other O'Day plants? Some serious research and leg work is in order, but we will cheer you on...

Bye the way, O'Day him self died of cancer in the 1980's. Maybe his son is still around? Or other knowledgeable members of the O'Day manufacturing inner circle.

Some of the designers of many of the O'Day boats still walk the earth. But they designed the boats and plans and did not include lengths for running rigging in the plans. At least none on the ones that I have seen.

Chris, so we all sit by our computers waiting for your updated post.

Hip Hip Huray!

Chris,
Check with Rudy Nickerson of D&R Marine in Assonet Ma. He can set you up with everything that you need.
http://www.drmarine.com/ I've bought most of my running rigging off Rudy through the years, as his shop is about 8 miles from where I live and his prices are better than "Worst Marine." Give him a call today. His knowledge of O'Days is phenomenal as he had worked for O'Day years back, and bought out all their stock, including their boat molds.
