The saga continues...
It seems like a long time ago I posted my first questions here on "sea trek." and "that sinking feeling" and other threads that could be searched if so desired.
Today i pulled my first wire for my first new circuit. It was through the stearn rail. I used 16 gauge boat cable. Also working on istalling a foot pump for the galley sink. Not too bad of an inbestment. It went well. I am not only seeing the light, but beginning to feel the warmth from the light at the end of the tunnel.
thanks appleman, shoaldrafter, RBone, and especially kind hearted trinkka, for all the help.....so much kindness and insight.

It was my pleasure Keith! One of my friends just pulled his 86 O'Day 26 "Megusta," out of the water at the club yesterday. I got there as he had just got his mast down with the help of another club member, and I offered my assistance in getting the mast in place on the rails of his boat. I had seen him coming up the river earlier as Penny and I were getting ready to hop into the kayak and cross the river for some beach combing adventure on the other side. I was also surprised to see Billy Joel's sleek round stern cabin cruiser sitting at the dock of a local boatyard on the river again. What a beautiful boat that it. I first saw that boat last November in that same boatyard.
Take your time Keith and do a good job. You'll be using that boat soon.
Best,
Joe

Keith said, "It was through the stearn rail." That thumbnail shows a stout stern rail. More like a pipe on a rail. How did you get that on a O'day 26?

Keith -

I have enjoyed seeing your progress. You do great work and I'm sure she will look like a new boat when you are done. Keep posting those pictures. I'm looking forward to seeing the launch.

Dave said, "I'm looking forward to seeing the launch." It must be understood to mean a video clip such as seen on Utube. But the movie taker must be far enough away so the when Keith lands in the water, his language is not audible...

Re: Dave said, "...

I can just see the mast cracking over, or the rudder snapping, or the boat getting stuck on the trailer....
