I used Ray Walden (Delta Marine Surveying) a few years ago and thought he did a competent job on a prepurchase survey. Don't have his number, but he has a sign on a gray barn about 2 miles before you come into town.

Practically took the boat apart, went up the mast, took ~ 100 photos. In 10 months I have found very little important that he did not point out.

I would use him again.
