windless anchor

We have a 40' 1985 Hunter sailboat with a shallow anchor well..We are planning to put the boat into charter and need a windless anchor but with the type of anchor locker we are not sure which type to buy can anyone help? also a GPS..Auto Pilot..We are in the Bahamas
but have a home in Tampa Florida..Will be in Tampa 9/25/2009 through 10/2/2009 and need at least the anchor ..

If you are going to be in the business, you should learn what you are talking about. While you may, indeed, want a "windless anchor", we probably assume you mean "anchor windlass"? :confused:

How are you intending to run your charters?

Will you be the Captain or will the renters have the boat to themselves.
If you will be the Captain I suspect the renters will not care what kind of anchor you have or how hard it is to use. Ditto for the GPS.
If they will have the boat then you will certainly need renter-proof type systems all over the boat. Things that come to mind; raw water to the engine, battery charging while away from the dock, fresh water tank management, holding tank emptying, a whole host of sail handling items..... the list goes on and on.

Valid point, but seems a bit harshly put. She knows what she is talking about and so do you. She used the wrong terminology. There is a whole lot of terminology to boats in general and sailboats in particular. One of my pursuits this winter is to read a lot on sailing.
