Yanmar 2GM Fuel Leak

The rear exit port on the high pressure fuel pump of my Yanmar 2GM is leaking fuel. I can't get a wrench on the nut to tighten it without, it appears, removing the front port nut completely first. Is there any danger of doing further damage by removing that one?

Find a different wrench.

yep...like Ross said...buy one..bend one...make one...other options are crowsfoot wrenches...flare nut wrenches...ratcheting wrenches...and as a last resort...sticking the tongue out the right way...

I know it's been awhile since your post, but if you haven't got the right response, try getting a boxed end brake wrench. Those are the ones that look just like a boxed end wrench but have a notch in them so they can be put on the nut by going around the pressure line. You may have to bend the wrench to the proper angle.

Thanks for the productive response. In the meantime, I solved the problem. My yard mechanic told me there was no risk in removing the forward line from the pump to get at the one behind, which I did. After torquing the rear nut the best I could and re-assembling, no leaks!! BTW: the engine runs great.

Can u git a linewrench on to it ?

If not no u should not have any problem if u remove it .
