Is AH roughly 50% of the RC Reserve Capacity of a battery?

In other words if I have two house batteries that are:

Group 27, 715 MCA, 175 RC

Is their roughly 90 amp hours (AH) in each house battery?

Get creative! Go to West Marine online and check out their battery stats. That's what I'd do. You could also crack the catalog if you have one, since I have no idea what "book" you say is on the boat. Nothin' wrong with "makin' book" on the boat, just sayin' ya could get two WM catalogs, one at home and one on the boat. But with the internet, it's all right there for ya. Their online advisors also have a battery discussion in great detail.

Not West Marine batteries, but I'll go else where since no Group 27 flooded batteries currently on West Marine

I'm in the hospital and, so, don't have a paper WM either. Doesn't matter what material the battery has, group 27s have a certain range of AHs.

There are also, like, how many different battery companies: Trojan, Amercian, etc. You could also try Defender.

Stu - that's what I did, on defender a group 27 flooded battery has 110 AH and 180 RC. Sincem my battery has them labeled as group 27 with 175 RC, then I have approx. 106.9 AH's. That was simple...
