Good day to all,

I am new to your community and would like to salute all of the O'day owners here! I purchased my 1980 O'day 25 C/B in the spring from a nice couple out in Penn Yan , NY. My home port will be in Saint-Paul-De-L'Ile-Aux-Noix, QC (Canada) just north of the border. Will be sailing my boat PJ's on lake Champlain, NY.

I can't say enough about my O'day, I just love the way it sails, looks and the liveable area inside. I just convinced my buddy to get one. He will pick it up in Wisconsin next week end.

Cheers to all and hope to see you sailing!

You need to get a map. Lake Camplain is in Vermont! Only back waters are in New York and Canada. All the sailing is in Vermont, USA! :naughty:

Welcome aboard!
Our newest club member just launched a 1980 O'Day 25 k/c sloop that he recently picked up real cheap. I liked the fact that this boat has an anchor locker accessible from on top of the forward deck. Also, the centerboard pendant line comes up into the cockpit. I know that you're going to love this boat. Good luck!

Perhaps you should get a map!

I don't know what your map says Capt Highliner, but Lake Champlain covers NY, VT and yes Einstein Canada.

To says that canada only has back waters, you obviously don't know your geography and obviously never sailed in Canada!

Don't forget to untie your boat before you set out!
