have a foresail from another boat that had a full foresail. want to have it cut to make a fractional jib for 222 oday. what would be the measurments to get the largest foresail from this?

This is something that a good sail maker could tell you. He should have all the specs on the O'Day 222 sail plans. It's possible that he may be able to cut this sail down to a 125% Genoa. It's also possible that this sail might have too much draft in it to be cut down to a Jib that will work well on your boat. Figure out what the cost will be as opposed to buying a new sail.
