Has anyone got some experience with the new Marine Elegance toilet from Raritan? Seems pretty good, but I'm not sure about being able to fit into my C36 MkII. Also, the discharge seems to need to go straight down, which is going to be tough to do.
It is a full-size toilet, after all, but the footprint is very small on this unit and I honestly feel it takes up less space than the old manual Jabsco I replaced for it. The layout for mine required that I run the discharge hose out sideways from the head, and I had lots of trouble making that turn given that the toilet's discharge hose connector heads straight down. I couldn't seem to get a tight seal on the clamp with the turn in the hose. My local chandlery told me to put an elbow in which I did. He assured me the elbow wouldn't make a bit of difference in the operation, and it hasn't. If it fits in the space you have aboard, I would highly recommend this toilet.Measure. It discharges out the back.
Of course it wouldn't...and I've never understood why it never occurs to people to use a 90 or a 45 where one is needed. Most mfrs will send you one--or a straight if a 90 is supplied--for no charge...but they're cheap if you haven't planned ahead and need it now.The layout for mine required that I run the discharge hose out sideways from the head, and I had lots of trouble making that turn given that the toilet's discharge hose connector heads straight down.
