I'm with Tim about the holding tanks non-existance for the most part. It is nice to have some hope that the 322 does not dump in the harbor, but probably does it out in the channel.

Unfortunately, that design is popular with the charter companies, and doesn't really make much sense for long-term cruisers.... which is one reason I'd never go with a charter boat.
Same thing on our 423. I thought it was a great design...for a charter boat. Having 3 full holding tanks up high really messes with the COG.

PS. The longways galley doesn't seem to bad if there is a sette back right behind it. It makes a very narrow space that you can wedge yourself into.

Relevant joke
The skipper and his wife go to look at a new boat and the wife asks what those hooks are for on the galley cabinets. The salesman says they are to strap the cook into the galley. She never went sailing again.
I rode the Mooring shuttle with a gentleman who was an owner of his second charter boat with the moorings. He said it worked OK the first time but this time he has a captained only charter boat. The boat will not be run without a captain from the Moorings on board. I would like to know how that worked out.

...and definitely makes it pretty sh*tty moving around down below. For instance, the C42s with that layout are just plain horrible (apologies to anyone here who has one, but a friend with a C42 says that layout reduces their resale value tremendously). That layout takes a roomy interior and makes it sooo much smaller. Sucks when sailing and trying to get anything from the galley on starboard tack!

In all investments you want a return on your equity and a return of your equity. Risk determines the rate of return that you are willing to accept. treasuries carry zero risk and a relatively low return. Lottery tickets carry nearly 100 percent rick and enormous returns.
Look at your financial strength and put your emotions aside.
Renting 14 foot fishing boats may prove to be a better investment.

I ran the numbers a few yrs back, and thought it only paid if you were going to charter the maximum number of weeks anyway, then it might have made sense. If it made sense to do it, why would the boat companies offer these deals?
Better deal is to buy a used boat, that has depreciated in value.
