They were there a couple weeks ago. Incredible resource for older boats. It would be a major headache for many of us if anything happened to them.Does anyone know if Rig-rite, in Warwick, Ct. is still in business? I have left messages several times and still no return call. Maybe they are on Holiday?
Really? Their web site could be a little more user friendly but I always found their service incredible. I'd call at 4:00 pm for something and the UPS box would be on the doorstep the next day.I have bought many things in 2009 from them and it was allways a PITA BUT no place else to go
Everybody likes meRoger, they must have really liked you.
And the Canadians of courseEverybody likes me
(Except maybe, Garmin)
Actually, I got in touch with the Consul Office in Boston who referred me to a very nice lady in the NYC office. She thinks that dotting every "i" and crossing every "t" led someone to be a bit unreasonable although neither of us fault them for it. She's quite optimistic that she can obtain the necessary permission for me to transport a couple pints of Canadian ocean water (that was ours a few days before) back to the U.S. and stop and leave U.S. dollars in some Canadian ports. And the Canadians of course![]()
When our Kenyon mast got dropped and bent, we very reluctantly bought the replacement from them because we had no choice. They had the last Kenyon extrusion of that size on the planet.Roger, they must have really liked you. I also found them very difficult to deal with.
Would you mind going down and taking a look? As pointed out above, they are the last source on the planet for many replacement parts. There are things on my boat that would cost me 50 bucks if they broke with RigRite replacements available and thousands if I had to replace in total.I am 10 min down the road from them and tried to get parts and got nowhere, they wouldn't even let me go to thier shop to pick it up.
It is back and the "Last Modified" date is yesterday. A good sign. Somebody is alive and kicking down there.the web site is working fine for me right now.
