previous owner shortened mainsheet to just block on boom and block on traveler. Looks like it used to start off to port go to forward block on boom, on to block on starboard, back to block on boom and up and down to traveler, ie 5 blocks instead of 2.
Here's what I have; beginning in the cockpit on the port side - forward to a turning block and then a block at the base of the mast, back and up to a block on the boom, down to the traveler, up to the rearmost block on the boom, return to the traveler a second time, finally secured about mid boom.
The documentation that I have specs the mainsheet at 12mm and 45.2 M in length. My conversion is half inch = 12.7 mm, and 45.2 M = about 148.25 ft.
Let's see if the photo works...

Oh, and Sinergie is a wheel equipped boat, my document sheet indicates a different traveler location on a tiller equipped First 285.

I deleted the same question from my own post, I haven't measured what I have, PO installed new running rigging and we didn't check measurements when we relaunched. All of the specs are metric and there are a couple of others with incorrectly stated units (CM instead of M, etc.). But I know it needs to be more than 4.5 M long, so it's not a missing decimal (or comma). HOWEVER, it makes a lot more sense at 45 FEET than 45 meters...
