3M was designed as consumer product. Learn this from commercial users; custom car and boat detailer. Agua-buff 2000 is significantly better compound. Jamestown carries them. I did my 30 foot boat two years ago. You couldn't believe the shine. Only took a day and it is water soluable hence rince off. It's white so won't show if you get it in cracks.

any more but this morning from Jamestown Dist they have it if you want to stock up. They have about 80qts left and I ordered two.

This is real good compound and finishing stuff that Mainesail had recommended for cleaning your hull..

Like most any company 3M has their pro line stuff, that many body shops use, and they also have their consumer line. 3M Finesse It II is not a consumer grade product and is used by many professionals. The body shop where my car door was just painted was using 3M products as do many. Meguiars also has pro grade and consumer grade products.

That being said Presta Ultra Cutting Creme & Chroma 1500 are some of my favorite products but I still like Finesse It II and the Heavy Duty Rubbing Compound.
