Hello,
Since its getting very close to the time to actually put this new, to us, ODay 23 in the water--the question of raising the mast comes up.... I think we can hoist the thing up alright, just have a question about the safest way to do it. I don't want the mast tilting sideways then breaking.... Do you attach all rigging first, except for one of the tabernacle pins? Will the mast pivot up OK with the side-stays attached; that is are they long enough to attach with the mast down and one pin in the tabernacle to pivot? Putting the mast up without any sidestays attached is a little scary. I'd be interested to hear what everyone does. I did a search on here and saw some of the systems people use--might get one together at some point, but for now I just want to get it up.
THANKS!
Pete
