I just made the order a few days ago, that price is total with shipping. A friend at a brewing forum turned us on to http://www.wisesales.com/ In Schaumburg, Illinois. They have an online store but I called in the purchase. My friend paid the same $884 about two months ago.

Very shortly a spinnaker. Already have 1/2 the lines. Blocks in route. Waiting for the wife to pick colors. Figure I will be at $2200 when all is said and done. Hope others jump in, I can't support this whole thing by myself.

We have a brand new boat that will be launched within the next week to ten days. Needless to say the list of extras is rather long:

Flat screen TV plus hardware to run cable to it
Misc canvas including a full cockpit enclosure, cushions, companionway screen, winch covers. Thankfully the dodger and bimini were part of the deal.
More bedding and linens than I can count
Navionics chip for the chart plotter
Additional light for the galley
Additional house battery
Still need a spare anchor, fender covers, etc.
Vinyl lettering for the name and graphics
No way I'm going to add it all up but I expect a personal letter from Obama thanking me for our efforts above and beyond the norm in trying to save the economy

Ross you and I are at the opposite ends of the spectrum. Ours is heading into the barn soon for some deck work I've been waiting on. I've already spent close to 3k, wait probably more but I try not to add it up, just on miscellaneous stuff this winter. The deck work will likely run 10k to 15k because I want it done right.....

I did rebuild my alternator last night though and saved about $150.00 by doing it myself..

Just doing my part to stimulate the boating industry...

I just spent a while on the chanderly search feature looking for some trailer parts. I plan on throwing what I can towards the chandelry. For some things that are O'Day specific, I have to keep Rudy at D&R going too or he won't be there when we need him.

Speaking of stimulation, we're working on a mammoth sale that will break tonight or tomorrow.

Maine Sail , I think that you have spent more on your latest boat after purchase cost than I spent refitting Bietzpadlin. I will be the first to admit that yours is prettier than mine and that is an understandable and reasonable preferrence. But we both enjoy our boats. That is what counts. Different needs for different people.

Doing my share

I'm doing my part for the sailing stimulus package, the boat is getting a new Honda outboard. Funny thing is, I spent quite some time calling different dealers and I had difficulty getting quotes or callbacks, nobody seemed too interested in making a sale
I've also been working on a new sail cover, bimini, bimini cover, and winch covers. I finished the sail cover and I put it on last weekend, no more bumble bee jokes:dance:

I think I got ahold of Manny's list...!!

so far its been a lot of fun.... Only thing is I wish the quality sandpaper (for the random orbital sander) was available in 100 packs or larger.....

Got bad enough that as I was walking by an old Axe Handle... I had to grab it, sand it down, and rope my son into staining it... tomorrow it Varnishing time....... fun stuff!!

Manny, what brand sewing machine are you using? We're thinking of buying a new, heavy duty type but not sure which brand to go with. Figured my wife could make some of the misc canvas items, sun shades, cockpit pillows, covers etc. for the boat. Looks like we could pay for the machine with what we'll save over a retail shop doing it.
