The yellow floating line that your see for sale to the right is excellent for tenders. It feels and ties like normal double braid and it floats. I used it on my dinghy all last season. It is great for the few times you forget to pull in the dinghy before reversing. Much less chance of fouling the prop.

What is the breaking strength on it?? That kind of information should be in the web page for the product but isn't.

I bought mine before Phil offered it here. Here are the specs from where I purchased mine. I bought the 1/2 inch. I am also assuming that Phil is selling the Samson line.

5/16"; 1700 lb strength
3⁄8"; 3200 lb strength
1⁄2"; 5200 lb strength

I just purchased 200 feet of this 1/2" yellow line for a shore line anchoring .
The 1/2" is a little over kill for my use but feels better in the hand and I was very surprised how lite the 200 feet of line was.

All I have to do now is throw the line in the water and see if it floats.

Except when you go to 50% throttle in reverse setting the anchor and suck the floating line down into the prop..... ask me how I know.... 50 ft. floating line same as that one, forgot to bring the dinghy in close..... luckily it was warm and we were in clear water. Had to go for a swim before my late aft. beer.

The Samson Ultra Lite line is also good for spinnaker sheets in light air in that the line will not absorb water (weighing it down) and it will float (which will not affect sail trim in light air so adversely). It comes in other colors besides yellow too.
