Hello fellow sailors. I have inherited a traveler and want to fit it to my Oday 222. I need to find more parts for it as I believe some are missing. Does anyone know anything about a
"Speed Rail' traveler? Where I can find parts for it? Thank you Jerry D.

I've never heard of it Jerry, but you need to ask yourself this question; Is it worth mounting on my boat after I drill the holes for it? Years ago, when I was looking for a traveler for my O'Day 222, I let this guy talk me into buying a Nicro Fico Traveler in his store. It came with a car, eye beam track, spring button stops, and the plastic end pieces for the track. Oh, --it works OK to this very day but,--I can't modify the car or replace it so that I can use sheave block line controls, without replacing the track because other companies don't make a car that fits that track. Now, if I had gone for a Garhaure or Harken traveler back then, instead of listening to that guy who ran the store, I'd be way ahead of the game today. I kick myself today for not going to E&B Marine first, as I hadn't met Rudy back then until much later.

Re: Nicro-Fico Travellers

Hi Peter,
I stand corrected on that. I just checked out their site and they do have a conversion kit for line control. I've had Rig-Rite do work for me in the past and I've been to their shop in Warwick RI a few times. I think that I would need to get a new car to replace the one that's on there, but that's OK with me. Thank you for the info.
Joe
