Essex

I am wondering about the CT River from the coast to Windsor Locks. What is the lowest bridge height, and a few nice places to stay?

Essex is a great place to stop. Chandlery has moorings for rent and the Griswold Inn has good food.

North of Hartford the channel is not maintained past the boat launch.
