Gulf Coast raft-up

As I told you on the phone the other day, I'll be there. Hopefully we will have a turn out as good as our last get together, but a raft up will be much nicer. Marvin, we don't have just a few rednecks. Most of us are.

It will probably still be winter up there in March. Why don't you take a break frrom it, come down and join us. Meet some of our rednecks. You will be made welcome, and I am sure room can be found for you and yours. A good time will be had by all. Same invite goes out to all you snow bound northern readers. Come south, enjoy some good old red neck hospitality.

Raft UP

A raft up is basically just a big get together. Meet up somewhere and a bunch of boats just raft up and have a party. Get to know one another, cuss, discuss, hoist a few and generally enjoy.

Saint, and all, You can go to my club's web site, SinglesonSailboats.org for a look-see. There is a "pod" raft of a few boats, then the top picture is 63 boats in a cricle raft just off the Chesapeake Bay. While on the home page, look at the "Spring Training" link, then the schedule. The public can attend and sign up for any classes they want. It is great for the 4 classes you can choose, plus food and door prizes make it an excellent value.

Tentative plan to sail the Chesapeake with some buddies .. If that plan doesn’t evolve, the raft-up sounds FINE.. Horn or Petit Bois .. both nice.
