The Pompanette port gaskets on our 1981 H37C are probably original and after a quarter century of use are going to be replaced. Pompanette wants $5 per foot for this stuff, however I have found a source of the original mfr which is MUCH cheaper. They sent a sample so I know it's the same 1/4 " round EPDM as the original. Here's the downside: I have to buy a 500' roll, and I only need about 100' to do all my ports. If I buy the roll would anyone want to buy any of the leftover for pennies per foot? I'm not trying to make money here, just get rid of the extra.

update: I ordered the roll. It will send it to you $0.30 /ft plus postage.

Me too

I figure a lot of the problems with these portlights start out with gaskets that have lost their elasticity, leading to over tightening to make them seal, leading to breaking and cracks in the dogs. I would therefore also like to have the material on hand to replace gaskets. Count me in if you need to unload some.

If there's any left...

If there is any left, I'd wouldn't mind taking some off your hands. I wouldn't need much as I plan on replacing most of my ports this spring.

Me too, me too

I would like to get in line also- I figure I would need about 30 ft to replace all. Let me know and I will give you shipping/mailing instructions etc
Thanks

The gasket FINALLY arrived. PM me with your footage request and a mailing address so I can estimate postage. I can also send you a free sample If you are unsure of the fit.

Richard, just sent you a PM. I have an 82 Hunter 33. I am guessing this is the same gasket material.

Thanks

Richard, we would be happy to get about 35' of this gasket from you if you still have that much left. However, you had offered to send a sample first and I would need to ask for that, as we have a 1980 Hunter 27 and I am not sure this is the correct gasket. OR--does anyone on the list know if this will work?

If this works for you--please email me at lindgren@kansas.net.

Thanks a lot,

Colleen and Gene Lindgren
