This morning I am sitting at my desk getting ready for lunch. I get a call that a woman who owns a boat in Oceanside Harbor (I'm on the wait list), needs to sell quickly due to financial hardship. The call came from a person I can trust.
She needs to sell her stink pot with the slip for 6k. The person who called me convinced here that 3k was better and he knew someone waiting for a slip. So I called her. After 10 minutes, 4k was agreed upon and she would dispose of the boat. So basically with a handshake, I will have my slip in my preferred harbor for the price of 1 year's slip fees. And the slip is on the dock I want. Sweet
Apprehensive to say the least but I think I am doing the right thing.
Thoughts?
