It is much appreciated.

Just a note, Phil, I'm struggling with the mouse over drop down menus. They are dropping down behind not in front and are very difficult to tag before disappearing. When I do get them, I get a 404 message for the very top portion of the new page but I do get the posts under.

Thanks again

Chris Burti
Hmm, for me the edit help search buttons show up 1/4th down the page, the rest, boat info forums etc, show up correctly.

also, what is the requirement for the names? I realy hate numbers. And I'm pretty sure there aren't 13619 kendalls on the board.

Already did the apply for name thing, requesting plain old Kendall, but is that going to work or should there be a last name too?

Board itself seems to be pretty good, different which will take a bit of acclimation, but nice overall.

Edit: just noticed I seem to be stuck in 'S2 owners.com' regardless of where I try to go.

Thanks
Ken.

Nice job, Phil. 1 issue and 1 suggestion:

Issue: I am also dropping the top banner mouse-over menus behind the page banners on all pages but the home page and have to go back to the home page to navigate (IE7 and XP)
Suggestion: now that we are vbulletin powered, it would be useful to have a quick link on the home page top to go directly to the User CP.

Again, thanks for all your progressive work.

Now that I have been instructed

Now that I have been instructed by Mainesail how to get the origional post up first, I am liking it. Not being computer literate, it takes me a while to figure things out, even with help. But so far, so good. And again, thanks Phil, for making this site available. It is the best available.

Recess,

The use of email address is not needed any more. I think based on your message above you are trying to do it that way. I would recommend you trying to register with just your user name, Recess, and then try that. If it gets hosed up, I think Phil can actually get into your user account and fix it.

Let us know who it works.

I am getting

used to the new site. I will play around with it and get more familiar with all the features. So far everything I see is much nicer than the old site.

Phil,
HORRIBLE mistake. Having a log-in that WILL-NOT allow me to log-in after 25 tries in 7 hours.

You DESTROYED a great website. I have sold a boat on your site, found another and log on to daily. I am DONE -- TERRIBLE website change. A BAD idea.

Geez Jerry, having a bad day??? Must be something simple that you're not doing or can easily be fixed by Phil. 25 tries in 7 hours, maybe you should contact Phil for some help ???

Although, I's be going into major withdrawals if I couldn't log in for 7 hours.

Phil, I know you'll be busy the next several days etc. fixing all the bugs and glitches, but something for future thought, any plans to add locations i.e. Georgian Bay, Ont. to the avatars like in the previous forum?

Give us more data. We cannot help you if we do not know what you are not doing. I know there are a lot of "not" in the above, but...

So, please help us help you by providing more info. You can send me an email or send Phil an email and we can work out the problems.

I have tried it both ways

Recess,

The use of email address is not needed any more. I think based on your message above you are trying to do it that way. I would recommend you trying to register with just your user name, Recess, and then try that. If it gets hosed up, I think Phil can actually get into your user account and fix it.

Let us know who it works.

I have tried to log on with my screen name and email address like the old site. I even tried to reregister, it told me that Recess is a current member. I used the three email accounts I have but know which one I used to register to the old site. I have also gone back to the email account that I joined with and found my email with the activating link.

Somehow my account got hosed in the switch over. I would like to keep my account and undestand these things happen. I just hope it all gets sorted out.
