Fresh water tank pump died.

The 35 year old pump/accumulator that feeds my galley and head faucets isn't pulling water anymore. When it worked it cycled a lot to keep pressure. I want to replace it with a new model and do away with an accumulator. If it matters, I have a 10" CBC-10 carbon filter between the pump and faucets. Any suggestions?

I installed this pump 3 years ago after finding many good reports on it:
PENTAIR SHURFLO 4148-153-E75 Aqua King II Premium Fresh Water Pump 4.0

I'm very satisfied with it.
I understand that newer pumps no longer need an accumulator to keep the pumps from turning on every time you open a faucet. Unless I turn the faucet on full I can get enough water to rinse my hands without the pump coming on so I did not install one.

Interesting. Home Depot even sells this one! I get a veteran discount too.

I think I may dismantle my old pump and see what's wrong with it first. It would be disappointing if it just lost its prime

That Marco is pricey. :(
But it is an excellent pump. Will easily outlast the cheaper diaphragm pumps, and be the last pump you buy.

I don't even think it is more expensive. At least not more than the Shurflo pump you are looking at. I got our Marco here: https://mareshop.eu/en/products/mar...v-16460215-n-a?_pos=2&_psq=marco&_ss=e&_v=1.0

We are so done with the cheaply made diaphragm pumps foisted onto the boating market. Once you have a Marco gear pump in your hands, you immediately see how it is another world of quality and robustness entirely.

BTW, don't worry about it being listed as not in stock and backordered. These pumps are drop-shipped from the manufacturer when ordered, so hardly anybody has them "in stock".
