Flooring options in cockpit area for my dog?

I have a dog that will be walking around the cockpit of my sailboat. I don't want her to slip and fall while we're sailing. What flooring options are available? I've seen several products, such as EVA foam decking on Amazon, but many reviews suggest they last only about a year due to UV exposure. What about using non-skid paint on the cockpit floor instead?

EVA padding like all closed cell foam mats are very susceptible to claw marks and will deteriorate in looks after some time. Purchase the thinner options and it should be less noticeable. SEADEK can send you a sample package for free. I have SEADEK on my boat and have found the quality is good, but if you scratch it, drop anything sharp, it will show. Just my two cents.

On our boat, in the cockpit we use foam play tiles, they come in different colours, very comfortable to walk on, good traction and the most important they are cheap, we have been using the same ones for the last 4 years and I even bought them used, so not too bad for the wallet
