Can anyone confirm (yes or no) that Hunter installed stainless steel bow-caps on their boats?

I've only ever personally seen the black-colored fiber-glass version (but have attached a picture of one made from stainless steel).

Also, does anyone know where I might be able to source a replacement bow-cap (ideally stainless steel but will settle for fiber-galss option).

I have never seen a stainless steel bow cap on a Hunter 27. The cap has no structural purpose. The ss does look cool though. I have repaired my fiberglass cap with thickened epoxy and put on a coat of black paint.

I made the post for a three reasons:
1) I REALLY like that stainlees steel bow-cap (and agree, it adds nothing for structural strength).
2) The owner of that boat (with stainless steel cap) is confident it came from the factory as such. He opines that there is no indication it was ever tampered with and/or replaced.
3) If it's OEM, I'll search for one; if it's not OEM, I rather not search for something that never existed.
I appreciate your reply; thank you.

Quite confident that a local welder could make one of those for you. For a lot less than a Chandler would charge you.

I’ve had my local welder make all sorts of parts for my Sailboat, the price has always been less than I expected, and the qualities always been really good

If you made a template out of cardboard and duct tape and brought it to him and made sure you pointed it out with the dimensions needed to be on the inside track easy Peezy lemon squeezy
