Can anyone point me to a website that provides treads for boarding ladders? Our last boat had polymer treads riveted to the stainless pipe treads and they were wonderful. Also, our boarding ladder is one rung too short. Does anyone know where I can get a bolt on extension?

Johnson used to make a thing called "Add-a-Step" Still have it, great thing. They made one, two or maybe even three step models. Don't know if they are still around White heavy duty plastic clipped onto the bottom rung.

Thanks Stu for the quick reply. Who is Johnson? Do you have a link?

C.S. Sherman Johnson is still around, but you have to buy their products through a dealer as they only sell wholesale and not to retail customers. The part number is 48-560 for one and 48-561 for a pair. Also, ladder steps can be made out of teak or some other noble wood by handy people. To add a rung to extend the ladder, you might visit a machine shop that can weld stainless tubing. Perhaps you can order through Sailboat Owners. If not, message me.
