This is an addon to my previous post. What type of hose have you used to replace the engine coolant hoses to water heater. Looking at the trident shield flex II. One of the hoses I took off was actually fuel hose, the size of both hoses are 5/8.

Thanks,
Mark

There are many hoses that will work. I found the reinforced trident hoses on my Catalina to have failed at the sharp bends. You might be better off using elbows rather than forcing the hose to do something it's not really designed for. I wish I could answer your question better but I thought I'd at least offer some advise to make your future hose last longer

No need to use marine specific hose,
It is tough for sailors and marine workers to consider that the average makers of hoses could know the noble needs of a boat.

I have wondered late at night, where did the first boat builders get the hoses for their boats before there were specialized Marine Retail outlets?

1. Noah didn't need no steenkin' hoses!!!
2. Later boat builders used oars and sails, no engines.
3. When they put engines in boats, they already had invented outboard engines and tractor engines.
4. Tractor engines used hoses from your favorite marine store: ACE Hardware!
5. They only invented "marine" hoses to charge you three or four times as much as ACE.
Go buy hoses at a tractor store.:cool::cool:
