Here's a good chuckle for ya..

My wife took a couple days off, and wished a former co-worker a Happy Thanksgiving this morning. Knowing we celebrate Thanksgiving when the USA celebrates Columbus Day, he asked my wife what "it" was for us today... Her reply.. "Thursday".

I'm grateful for the ability to feel gratitude. The opposite of gratitude is disappointment or even anger. I'd rather be grateful any day and especially this day.

Agreed.

Gratitude is really driven by perspective and personal expectations.
Disappointment can eventually turn into gratitude, once your perspective shifts. Unfortunately for some it becomes anger. Sometimes both.

Celebrating events like Thanksgiving, by helping at a shelter, local community event, etc. are all great ways to shift ones perspective to gratitude.
