Wow…

Looks like it has seen some weather.
Was it in salt water or fresh?
Does it run?

There are museums for motors like that.
One is here in Martin County Florida. The Elliot Museum has a collection of mostly Evinrude outboard motors. I was recently at the Sandusky Maritime Museum which had had a nice collection of vintage outboard motors. I'm sure they are many others. It is a time piece. It deserves a place to go to be appreciated. It might even be fun to run now and then. In my former town, Southold NY, they would have events with running vintage engines which was always fun. They could be loud and dirty but they would run demonstrating the heritage of internal compression engines.

Thank you great ideas I would love to have it displayed somewhere. I will look into those places

Don't know about "adorable" but I had a fun time getting this old Evinrude running after a bajillion years of sitting in a closet.

It is a classic! I found one at the dump and took it home. I never got it to run but it did spay some oil around my workshop.

My brother has a Wankel outboard.. kinda rare one.. I think it was made by the Sachs guys in Italy. Kinda heavy and is kind of weak .. more of a collector piece than useful.

Never heard of a Wankel outboard. Must be very rare.

I had a friend that had a car with the Wankel engine. You had to shift using the tachometer. You couldn't really hear the RPM changes...
