Holes in the cockpit coaming

Hello fellow Cat 22 enthusiasts. I’m slowly addressing issues in my boat such as sealing unused screw holes (from old trim I removed). I found two holes in the starboard side cockpit coming and two in the left. And am unsure if they serve a purpose. I thought I would ask before I seal them up.

Yes I see now they allow draining from the coaming boxes. Thank you!
