We had some hatch leaks, and both of our Oceanair Skyscreens need repair. We tried taking them down but couldn't see where they screw in. There is a little tab on each corner that opens, but neither of us could see a screw. I've searched other forums and found a lot of info on installation, but only a few on replacing the blackout shade. They all say pop the tab and remove the screws. Ha! There is no video of where that screw is.

Apparently, Oceanair was sold to a Swedish company called Dometik, but I can't find much info on them. I'm hoping someone here can provide some info on getting a replacement shade and how the heck to find those screws! This is one of the videos I found -

I've installed these many times, and there is a small cover on each corner that has a mounting screw under it. If yours does not, then I don't know how it is connected.

Once you do get it down and turned over, it is more obvious how to remove the shade. There are small screws holding on a cover. Remove the cover and the shade/spring assembly comes out similar to a household window blind.

AhoyCaptain sells replacement parts. Others might too - I just know of them.

Thanks. We will have another look. We also need to replace the gasket (Bomar hatch) so I have to get a better look at the size and model hatch we have. Projects like this keep us from getting bored!
