Hunter 356: leak from drinking water system

Our 2004 Hunter 356 has developed a leak somewhere in the non-pressurized part of water supply system. It does not seem to be from the fresh water tank itself, nor are there leaks at either the connection to the valve on the tank or the connections at the pump. The leak must be somewhere in the pipe between those two places, but because of the way the boat is assembled, getting a look at that part of the line will involve removing a lot of interlocking woodwork. Before embarking on that job, I wanted to see if other owners have encountered this problem, and how they addressed it.

the cold water line from the tank to the pump under the sink is one piece of pex, the only fittings are at the ends. It's possible that over 20 years the line could have been chafed thru on wood, fittings, etc. I had a similar issue - under the sole into the shower- I finally just ran a new line, using the old one to pull the new one thru - use an inside connector to hook the two lines together. it would be extremely hard to examine the whole line.

Thank you. I was wondering if there were any intermediate fittings and whether it would be possible to pull a new line through. You have provided exactly what I needed to know on both points. Much appreciated.

P.s. -- would you explain what you mean by an inside connector?

I would assume a coupling (male-male) to join the fittings on the old and new water lines, so you can pull the new water through.
