Decking project

Decided to put some EV decking on the ole C22 wife hated the feel of awlgrip and the deck seem to get wicked slippery at the most inconvenient times. Learning as I go, this is kinda a hack job so don’t look too close. But so far it is not too difficult.

Yes the EV decking comes in single strips as well as sheets highly recommend the single strips for this sort of install.

So far about 20 rolls of EV decking and one sheet from the same brand on Amazon. All in about 300 this covers the foredeck, cabin top at the mast, forward hatch sides of the pop top. Will need another 3 sheets for cockpit, lazarettes and main benches. Been doing this in stages, so more waste and general goof ups than a normal install where I would know what I am doing. So the original test pieces have been broiling in the Carolina sun all season still holding strong. This is essentially the sAme stuff they put on paddle boards. If the adhesive releases it is my fault in prep.

Will do! So far it has withstood my fat butt clambering around on it, and makes being barefoot actually nice!

Two year follow up on the kryzn Amazon decking project.
So coming back with a follow up for those who are interested. So this decking was cheap, it adhered well but left uncovered in the NC sun the decking material has greatly degraded. I was hoping for 4-5 yrs before having to address. To be fair it will most likely make it 4 but by that time it will have mostly broken down to a flat Eva surface with little spring or cushion. The white sections are cracking and the grey topping is turning to dust. So will I do it again? Absolutely. Will I buy a different product (more expensive) also yes. If you cover your boat or live in a place with less brutal UV this product may be a good fit. Sitting at a mooring or dock uncovered nah pass on the cheap stuff
