Considering purchasing a Passage 42cc (1990-97) and researching refits/upgrades to make it more 'bluewater' capable.
I've received countless contradictory responses for which model years of the 42cc have a compost rudder and which have a stainless rudder post. And some people have replaced their compost to stainless. But this is a larger expense. So for the compost rudder post users out there, have you had any issues or issues or concerns over the longevity of the post?
Ressed Furling Drum Question...I see some people raise the forward furling drum out of the recessed factory hole it sits in (by adding a new chainplate it seems). Is this because the furling/jib lines getting caught up possibly on occasions? Or what benefit does this provide?
Thanks everyone! I have several more inquires about upgrades & refits, but I'll save for next time Cheers.
