Hello all.
I have just acquired a 2004 Hunter 326. Does anybody know if it is possible to. get a list of parts used to build the boat from anywhere?
Thank you

I've never seen that for any boat. Sounds like a very long list.

Good luck.

Our Beneteau came with a limited time subscription to Vessel Vanguard and the account was pre-loaded by the dealer with a spreadsheet of major components. The list was mostly accurate and complete, but there were some wrong part numbers, probably because Beneteau changed things based on what was available at build time. Our boat was built in 2014 and we’re the original owners. For a boat 10 years older and having had who-knows-what previous owner modifications I think your best bet will be to make your own list. Inspecting components looking for part numbers can be a good way of finding anything that needs maintenance anyway.

Thanks David for sharing this. It is a standard boat manufacturing best practice to build with the materials that are available at the time of the build. If you own a boat with a multi year production programs (some boats have over 10 years of production, often with modified design features for different versions). The inventory of boat systems often come from different suppliers throughout the design build period.

Make your own list. Decide on the function you need/want. Then source the equipment that best meets your needs and wants. This will give you your best boat experience.

The newest boat I've ever owned was from the early 2000's. And it was a day sailor - so no equipment to speak of. All other boats I've ever owned are from the previous century :) No comprehensive parts list on any of those...

When I used to manage a database list for the Hunter 37 Cutter here on SBO, we put together a list of suppliers for most of the major OEM components: Edson for steering, Yanmar for the 2QM/3QM diesels, Crest Aluminum for the toe rail extrusion, Bomar and Grey for the hatches & ports, and so forth. The info was mostly compiled from fellow sailors here on the forum with some help from the SBO Chandlery crew. As mentioned, it did vary a bit from year to year as Hunter changed suppliers for various reasons. There are 115 owners listed for the Hunter 326 listed here on "Hunter Resources, by model". Why not try to get in touch with a few other owners and share info and experiences. There may even be a facebook site for owners of your model of boat (no idea).
