The 4th of July has come and gone. And that means everyone who owns an object that floats has been on the water with 40 pounds of explosives!

What could go wrong?

But sulfur, saltpeter, and black power aside, what were your plans for the 4th? Cruising, day sailing, anchoring for fireworks, or hiding under your bed?

Rented a pontoon boat for a few days and took the wife …all of the kids …their significant others and the dogs for a few days of cruising around, anchoring out, swimming and other tomfoolery. It was wonderful!

Untied the lines and headed north to the St Lawrence River and points beyond for a long anticipated summer cruise of about 2,500 nm. And then maybe south, we'll see.
