Refrigerator/Freezer issues

So today’s agenda is to figure out why my refer and freezer won’t start running this year. It was working fine last year. I’ve checked that it still has 134a in the system and it does. When I turn on the switch’s at the breaker panel the compressors do not run. They are getting power about every 5 seconds or so but just for less than a half second or less. You can hear the compressor try to start and then stop. It acts like maybe it is pulling too much current as my battery monitors voltage drops way down when the compressor tries to start. There is a red LED on the controller that is blinking every 5 seconds or so. I’ve checked all the fuses around the compressors which are all good. The system is an Adler Barbour. Does anybody have any ideas?

One common cause for electrical failure when a load starts is low voltage due to bad connection(s). Also check other reasons why you have low voltage warning.

The answer I got was:
“I was on shore power with my house bank shut off. So the problem was me! Once I turned on the house bank the refrigerator and Freezer worked fine.”

Thank you, Don. Hmm. Wonder why he had the house bank shut off while connected to shore power. I keep ours on all the time, whether connected or not.

At the very least to ensure the batteries are always at 100% SOC to ensure a long life.

Since he and I have talked often.

New Boat hardly ever off the Hard by the PO.

He is learning, step by step.
Jim...

PS: Remember his Generator issue that had only 90 hours on it?
