Adding a mid-ship cleat to a H260

Has anyone installed a mid-ship cleat on a H260? I've been tying off my spring line to the winch but it chafes the rub rail and really isn't in the right spot. Any advice would be appreciated i.e. location, hardware, accessing the underside of the cleat mount.
Thanks
Chuck

Not a bad idea, for $40 I'll give it a try, Thanks! I'll put it as low as possible an hope it doesn't pull out the stanchion:(. Where a mid cleat really comes in handy is docking and casting off and this will defiantly work for that.

I don't have an H260 (although I'm H260-adjacent) but I would have a look a how the stanchion is mounted. If it has a backing plate you're probably in pretty good shape to put a cleat low-down on it. If not, I'd be tempted to add one.

@Chuck C.

I was a dealer who was involved in the design of the 260 and the dealer who sold nearly a quarter of the production line, I would not recommend a cleat on the stanchion due to the base plate is aluminum nor was it designed for it.
May I recommend a high profile cleat secured to the rub rail like the shroud chain plates using a tubular stainless steel pipe underneath the rub rail 6 inches long
