HELP! Need hardware for mast spreaders

Hello - I have an O'Day 22 1974 sailboat and the pin that goes through the mast to hold the spreaders on broke.

I am looking for a Old-style Spreader Base Stud Assembly: K-1092BA. I found a website that describes it here:

This is a photo of the part that broke that holds the spreaders to the mast on my O’Day 22.

Ouch is right! But thank you so much! Seeing if welder friend can use the same ends and just replace stainless pin.

I would think you could turn one on the lathe pretty quickly and easily. Of course, you'd need a lathe and some skill. I gave my big lathe to my son. Can you make an accurate dimensioned drawing of the part?

Yes, there are accurate dimensions and drawings that my hubby found online. The challenge will be separating the aluminum ends from the stainless pin. One end seems to be melded together. Also we got a call back from Cape Cod Shipbuilding in Wareham that carries them or can make one one and they said $87. So we have options! I guess it will be a matter of what can come quickest (welder fix or wareham place ). We want to get sailing again soon! The part broke when we pulled the boat out and took the mast down yesterday for the storm. At least it didn't break underway! Thanks again!

You should be able to duplicate the item with off the shelf parts
3/8 stainless threaded rod (hacksaw to proper length)
2 nylock 3/8 stainless nuts
2 ss cotter pins
Stock aluminum rod cut to proper length and slip-thru holes drilled (center punch and drill press)
Assemble the pieces thru the Mast (and compression tube)
Tighten the nuts to appropriate smugness
Then reassemble spreaders ,drill through for cotter pins

I think the $149 price is for a whole assembly. The K1092R bar only is $39. That's doable.
