HI folks, I stumbled across this Norwegian sailor (in a very cool boat, I might add) who has no qualms about single handing in challenging conditions. I'm not pimping his channel, just though our recent discussions might relate.
And apparently he is ok with that.He is just one slip away from a ghost ship.
I welcome pimping any channels that show something other than the horrible "boat opera" or "clickbait to pay for the boat i cant afford" crap that seem to dominate YouTube sailing channelsI'm not pimping his channel, just though our recent discussions might relate.
Glad you asked. Here's a vid about Erik's Contessa 35 (no surprise, eh)Impressive but...Standing on his bow hauling in a wet sail while underway…. .no harness, no tether! He is just one slip away from a ghost ship.
And does anyone know any details of the boat he is sailing?
One of the things I love about the young adults of that age - they are often doing it right! One of the guys I work with (Oh right, used to work with - I'm retired now) hit the road in his campervan during covid and drove to Alaska, then down the west Coast, then over to the Rockies and went down million dollar highway... All the time working full time! Awesome!Sailing the Northwest passage and working on her PhD? Again I ask: What was I doing at that age?
