Hello I'm new to the forum and have just recently purchased Hunter 35.5 and since the mast is down I would like to inspect and replace anything that needs attention. Any pics or diagrams of the furler/for stay attachment in the anchor locker and and also the running rigging would be much appreciated. Looking forward to any points and information and thank you ahead, Cherrs.

Unfortunately, your query generates many questions that relate to what you are thinking of doing. With no understanding where to start, one could write a book. Remember, when you raise the mast you will be putting a 700-1000 lbs (300-500kg) standing in the air above your head. Mistakes on the quality and condition of your rigging can have catastrophic effects on the boat and the crew. If this is all new to you I would recommend you engage a professional rigger to assist you.
Thanks John for your timely reply, it's 1990 with a 2022 survey....from what I can see the running rigging lines are spent, the main halyard looks new....I'm into replacing what doesn't look right as I don't want to do this twice for couple of years....I'm looking for some drawings/pics and points specifically related to the mast and furler gear on H35.5, much appreciated....the crane is booked for the apr.28th...
....the furler is the original Hood 810 DL ....that the H35.5 Legends came with....anyone familiar with this type? pics/diagrams

1990 boat. That is 30 plus years on the standing rigging. Likely you are sailing in the Great Lakes. If I did not know the age of the rigging I would have the rig inspected by a rigger and not be surprised that it should be replaced. Ocean sailing or sailing near the equator has insurance companies requiring rerigging every 15 years. Up north we can stretch it to 20 plus years. Your boat is beyond the recommended time frame.
Thanks for your points and advice, I had professional riggers to take down the mast and prep it for transport from the Lake Huron to the Lake Ontario....The PO disassembled the furler and it seems have lost some parts for it, also any “work” or rather lack of done by him is disappointing and in some cases outright bizarre....I’ll post some pics later....as of now I’m in the process of gathering all the info and parts for my furler, replacing all the running rigging , lights and replacing some wires before the mast goes up...if there is a professional rigger available in my area I will seek his assistance, if not I have enough support of experienced sailors to give me a hand...what I was seeking at this forum is the advice with some diagrams/pics of Hunter Legend 35.5 owners rigs....
